Plast-Box S.A., a manufacturer of plastic packaging, has successfully passed an audit of international-quality and food-safety certificates, obtaining the auditors’ recommendation within the scope of the recertification of the ISO 9001:2015 standard, and extending the highest AA rating of the BRC Packaging and Packaging Materials standard. An independent assessment carried out by DNV GL’s auditors confirmed that the Company had applied a number of self-monitoring tools to check the safety and commercial quality of its food packaging.
– At this particular time, we are adopting non-standard measures, subjecting ourselves to a remote evaluation of our standards. All the implemented mechanisms of a remote audit have worked very efficiently, which shows that, as an organisation, we are capable of operating in difficult conditions, says Grzegorz Pawlak, President of the Board of Plast-Box S.A.
In terms of food safety and quality, Plast-Box applies internationally recognised standards, approved by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), the world leader in food-safety certification. The certificates we hold are a guarantee for our customers that the Company meets all the requirements of Polish and European food law regarding the processes of manufacturing, picking, transporting, and other logistical operations.
– Our priority is increasing the safety and quality of the products delivered to consumers, and also ensuring their repeatability and legality. The BRC certificate is an additional confirmation that our packaging is safe, which is particularly important in the time of an epidemiological risk. Meeting these standards means that we can immediately take action regarding various threats, including such as COVID-19, explains G. Pawlak.
In many cases, the BRC standard is a prerequisite for cooperating with customers, including global companies, and it is recognised as a guarantee of the highest quality and product safety. It is currently required by reputable food producers and retail chains, but also by all local and international distributors to which Plast-Box distributes its packaging.
